Virtual Opportunity
As part of Salinas Valley Health's 70th Anniversary Celebration, we are launching several initiatives to recognize Veterans who receive services at our hospital. One such initiative is to provide the gift of a handmade patriotic lap blanket to every Veteran to take home at discharge as an expression of our gratitude for their service to our country and community and remembrance of the outstanding care they received at Salinas Valley Health Medical Center. Blankets can be knitted, crocheted, quilted, or sewn, using patriotic colors of red, white, and blue, and should be 30-36" x 40-48". Be creative with your design, we just ask that blankets are not designed to replicate a United States flag. If you would like to donate purchased lap blankets or supplies for this project, those would be appreciated as well! Please contact Salinas Valley Health Volunteer Services at 755-0772 or volunteer@salinasvalleyhealth.com for more details..
