Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide the special needs community with information on resources and services. To established and maintain programs/activities for support, participation, education and advocacy for special needs individuals.

Description

Our purpose has been to provide the special needs community with the same choices and opportunities as everyone else; to help them lead as normal a life as possible; to provide an understanding and supportive environment for all special needs individuals and their families; to advocate for the rights of special needs individuals and to build their self-esteem and confidence and just be able to enjoy themselves. Some of our activities/classes we currently offer are Swimming, Drama, Karate, Cheerleading, Drumming, Yoga, Playgroup, Social Group, Flag football and we host several dances for teens and adults, Pizza with Santa, Easter event and trip events. SMART-One Inc. is a parent led volunteer organization and is very dedicated to providing services and activities for our Special Needs individuals and family members. The support of volunteers plays a big role in our success.
