Mission Statement

To provide food to people of all income levels by sustainably growing affordable local food in the Front Range Area. To build food resilience in our communities and to provide examples for policy changes to be implemented that address institutional barriers in land and healthy food access. To build and support stronger food producers and to educate on sustainable organic farming practices. We strive to make Colorado a stronger and more just food system.

Though the farmers have been cultivating in Denver for 5 years, Frontline Farming was founded in January 2019 with the intention of creating & supporting a more just food system.

Just to give you a little bit more information about us, Frontline Farming is a good food and farmer’s advocacy group focused in the greater Denver area. We have about 5.5 acres throughout Denver that we cultivate, including two community gardens, a nature center plot, two house gardens, and two elementary school gardens. Aside from market stands, we also have numerous low or no- cost distribution programs as well. These include a no- cost grocery program in partnership with Denver Food Rescue, a pay- what- you- can farm stand held in three different locations throughout Denver, and a Healing Foods program through which we donate produce weekly to twenty terminally ill Denver Health patients. Aside from the literal farm work, we also have a strong emphasis on community education. We teach farming practices and food literacy to third graders at Columbian Elementary school once a week. Over the summer, we also provide bi- weekly or monthly class series on a specific topic like composting or beekeeping.
