Are you passionate to share your experience and love for STEM with youth? Pink Space Theory is looking for engaging and passionate STEM teachers interested in teaching coding and engineering to middle school students to help close the STEM gender and racial equity gaps. Pink Space Theory aims to remove barriers that may prohibit underserved youth, particularly girls of color from pursuing STEAM careers. We want to do our part to provide youth, especially girls, with learning opportunities to engage, expose, and empower them to pursue future STEAM careers. We offer our programs to students attending disadvantaged schools in Prince William County, Virginia. Prince William County is home to 40,000 students in fifty-nine elementary schools. More than 50 percent of these students are minorities, and more than 45 percent are considered economically disadvantaged-usually, these students are identified as those "qualifying for free or reduced lunch. Must be available between 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm ET. If you are interested in inspiring the next generation of computer scientists/coders and engineers apply at https://bit.ly/PSTVolunteer.
