Mission Statement

Our purpose is to provide persons with physical, cognitive, psycho-social and emotional disabilities as well as those being impacted by potentially life altering illness or injury the opportunity to experience the power of the human/animal bond through therapeutic interventions in order to promote improved health and wellness. Cheerful Hearts is dedicated to training, research, and education in this emerging field of Recreational Therapy.

Description

Cheerful Hearts is a PATH intl member center. We provide a special form of assistance to individuals and groups seeking ways to integrate animals in activities that promote growth in all areas of physical, emotional and cognitive development.

Located in Santa Fe, Texas, just south of League City and north of Galveston, we offer therapeutic riding lessons in English or Western as well as adaptive methods at our barn. We also will travel to your facility to participate in AAT, AAE, or AAA with our miniature horses and therapy animals. Our goal is to provide a safe, enjoyable riding session or animal assisted intervention with therapeutic benefits, while never leaving out the fun.
