Mission Statement

Our mission is to help the people of Marin County obtain the best quality HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C services, information, education and support possible.

Description

The Marin AIDS Project began providing services in 1984, and was the first agency in Marin created to respond to the growing epidemic. We are the primary HIV/AIDS service provider in the County. We have expanded our scope of service to people living with Hepatitis C. We offer personalized case management services, coordinated benefits counseling, emergency financial services, one-on-one and group support as well as volunteer support. Most important, however, is the dignity and respect given to all of our clients, as we work together to fashion the best response to their specific needs. The Marin AIDS Project is also dedicated to stopping the spread of this disease through education. We work throughout the County to educate residents on HIV/AIDS and how to prevent infection. Our programs incorporate volunteer educators, peer educators and people living with AIDS working together to provide accurate and comprehensive information and education. To date, our outreach efforts have reached thousands of Marin residents.
