vCoder is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to improve and expand computer science education by utilizing the unique qualities of immersive technologies and spatial computing. vCoder is the first virtual reality computer science app that teaches coding while in VR. Created to immerse, engage, and inspire new programmers. vCoder has a special focus towards empowering young women, underrepresented groups, under-served populations and promoting diversity in tech.
vCoder is based on the K-12 Computer Science Framework and fits perfectly with existing Computer Science programs. Through after school programs and weekend and summer camps students can learn to code using VR. Students learn core coding fundamentals and are trained to think creatively and reason systematically. They walk away grasping coding logic.
