Mission Statement

ICNA Relief USA seeks to alleviate human suffering by providing caring and compassionate service to victims of adversities and survivors of disasters. ICNA Relief USA strives to build healthy communities, strengthen families and create opportunities for those in despair while maintaining their dignity and advocating for their basic human needs. Volunteers from across the country help us accomplish our mission every day. We are a Muslim organization and feel it is our religious responsibility to support those in need in our country regardless of their race, religion or other identifying features.

Description

1. We have been working in Austin, TX, running a Free Food Pantry in collaboration with North Austin Muslim Community Center and Central Texas Food Bank for almost three years. We need help with Food Bagging and distribution to the needy community members. We do this every week on Saturdays from 2-5 pm (March -Nov)and 1-4 pm (Nov -March). We have distributed so far 110,000 lbs. of food to over 650 families more than once. We want to be able to deliver food to those who cannot come also.
2. We are also embarking on the Texas Community Partner Program to help community members to register for state of Texas benefits at the community centers.
