Mission Statement

The mission of therapeutic courts is to help reduce recidivism and promote community safety by helping individuals whose criminal activity is related to their experience of mental illness, substance abuse disorder, homelessness and/or other quality of life challenges. These courts provide individuals access to the treatment and other assistance they need to remedy these challenges, and thereby reduce the likelihood of ongoing criminal behavior.
