Mission Statement
Our Mission: To improve climate, health and equity by accelerating the switch from gasoline vehicles to clean, zero-emission alternatives.
Description
Phasing Out Gasoline through Policy and Culture
Policy: We pursue policies for a rapid and complete transition off gasoline-powered cars in California and Washington, and blaze the path for the entire country to transition to clean, affordable vehicles. Coltura spearheads a growing coalition of environmental, health, justice and other organizations working toward a gasoline-free future.
Culture: Coltura is leading the cultural movement away from gasoline. We use art and media to foster intolerance of gasoline's adverse effects and create demand for clean alternatives. Coltura is known for the Gas Trap, and has won multiple awards for its Ghosts of Gasoline performance art piece and "Gasoline, Gasoline" music video.
