Qui nous servons : Les organisations partenaires telles que les garderies, les centres communautaires et les hôpitaux qui accueillent les enfants jusqu'à 8 ans. Lieu : Les livraisons sont effectuées dans un rayon de 5 km de la bibliothèque Fraser-Hickson, située au 3755, rue Botrel, Montréal (Québec) H4A 3G8. Objectif du poste : Les assistants à la livraison de livres assurent une livraison efficace et rapide des livres à nos partenaires. Ils nous aident à livrer plus de livres et à atteindre plus d'enfants. Tâches et responsabilités : Apporter différentes quantités de livres chez les partenaires et rapporter les sacs de livres à la bibliothèque, le cas échéant. Compétences et qualités souhaitées : Fiabilité (emploi basé sur des horaires) Ponctualité est de rigueur Capacité d'adaptation Capacité à travailler de façon autonome Politesse, plaisir et amabilité La capacité d'interagir avec les enfants est un atout Engagement : 2 à 3 heures par semaine ou à chaque 2 semaine. Nous nous engageons à être flexibles avec les horaires de nos bénévoles. Notre mission est d'élever le niveau d'alphabétisation en offrant aux partenaires que nous servons un accès gratuit à des livres et à des services d'animation afin de les aider à inculquer aux enfants un amour de la lecture et de l'apprentissage qui durera toute leur vie, et ce, dès la naissance, grâce à notre projet de sensibilisation emblématique : mini biblio PLUS. Whom we serve: Partner organizations such as daycares, community centers, and hospitals that cater to children up to 8 years old. Place: Deliveries are done within 5km of the Fraser-Hickson Library, located at 3755 Rue Botrel, Montréal, QC H4A 3G8 Purpose of the position: Book Delivery Assistants ensure smooth and timely delivery of books to our partners. They help us deliver more books and reach more children. Tasks and responsibilities: Bring different quantities of books to partners' locations and return bags of books to the library, when applicable. Skills and qualities desired: Dependability (scheduled-based job) Punctuality is a must Adaptability Ability to work independently Polite, Pleasant, and Friendly Ability to interact with children is an asset Commitment: Minimum of 2 to 3 hours per week. At MinibiblioPLUS, we bring books to life! We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who would like to spread their love of books by creating fun Story Time video readings for children from 0 to 8 years old. Purpose: To instill a lifelong love of reading and learning by passing on your love of books to children via the art of virtual story-time animation! Whom we serve: Partner organizations such as childcare centers, community centers and hospitals that cater to children up to 8 years old. Where: Story-time videos are created from the comfort of your own home with books provided to you from our library, which is located at 3755, rue Botrel, bureau 110, Montréal (Québec) H4A 3G8. Training: Volunteers will receive comprehensive training in Early Literacy development with a certificate of completion at the end. All story-time materials will be provided by the library. Tasks and responsibilities: Create weekly Story Time reading videos that are fun and engaging Participate in one or more training sessions on how to read to children Share evaluation of progress/success of activities Rotational collection of reading materials from our library Desired skills and qualities: Dependability Punctuality Good listening and communication skills Dynamism, patience, and attention to detail Ability to work independently A general interest in reading and early literacy Commitment: Minimum of 1-2 hours per week for minimum 2 months. We are committed to being flexible with the volunteer's schedule, but we appreciate regularity. Nous donnons vie aux livres! Nous recherchons des bénévoles enthousiastes qui aimeraient diffuser leur amour des livres en lisant aux enfants de 0 à 8 ans. Lieu : L'heure du conte a lieu dans les locaux de notre partenaire (NDG, Côte-des-Neiges et LaSalle), nous sommes situé au 3755, rue Botrel, bureau 110, Montréal (Québec) H4A 3G8. Objectif du poste : Donner vie aux histoires et aux livres grâce à l'art de l'animation de l'heure du conte et inculquer aux enfants un amour de la lecture et de l'apprentissage qui durera toute leur vie en transmettant votre amour des livres aux enfants. Tâches et responsabilités : Collecte par rotation du matériel de lecture chez nous, Fraser-Hickson. Engager et stimuler les enfants lors de séances hebdomadaires d'une heure de lecture à haute voix. Participer à une ou plusieurs séances de formation sur la façon de lire aux enfants. Partager l'évaluation des progrès/réussites des activités Compétences et qualités souhaitées : Fiabilité Ponctualité Bonne capacité d'écoute et de communication Dynamisme, patience et attention aux besoins des enfants Capacité à travailler de façon autonome Un intérêt général pour la lecture et l'alphabétisation précoce Volonté d'apprendre et d'explorer par la lecture à haute voix et le jeu Engagement : Minimum de 2 à 3 heures par semaine. Nous nous engageons à être flexibles avec l'horaire du bénévole, mais nous apprécions la régularité.
