Mission Statement

The Citizen Review Panel assists the court in determining what the most appropriate permanency plan is for children in foster care and work with the parents or family to insure the court ordered goals are realistic by reviewing the progress or the lack of progress being made.

Description

Overview of Fulton County Citizen Review Panel:

The Citizen Review Panel reviews the Fulton County Juvenile Court dependency cases. These cases involve children who are in Georgia’s foster care system. There are a total of 21 panels. Each panel meets once a month on the same day. Panel Reviews are usually held in the mornings up until early afternoon.

In order to become a volunteer, you must be either a resident or work for Fulton County. Once your volunteer application is processed, you will be contacted with training dates. New Volunteer training is for two days from 8:30-4:00 pm. This two day training is mandatory in order to become a Citizen Review Panel volunteer.
