The Bell County Museum exists to engage and educate the community by collecting, preserving, and interpreting the prehistoric and historic heritage of Bell County.
The museum was established in 1991 and is housed in a Carnegie Library. Located in downtown Belton, TX, the museum is a wonderful source for Bell County history, archaeology, culture, and interactive activities. The many exhibits of the museum include Gateway to Gault, Passport through Time: Bell County History, the Chisholm Trail, an 1850's log cabin, and a variety of traveling exhibits that display local and national history!
