We envision a community where we: - are encouraged to know one another, to celebrate together, and to join in making decisions about the future of our community - openly welcome residents of all ages, incomes, cultures, and viewpoints - partner with the local government, businesses, and civic organizations - support the efforts of our public servants - promote access to a variety of recreational spaces In its activities and operations, the KCCF is inclusive of all people within our community without discrimination against any race, color, religious affiliation, gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, political affiliation, or military status.
As King City, Oregon grew from its roots as a 55+ retirement community, the city expanded westward and younger families moved in, creating two distinct communities. In order to bridge this divide, the King City Community Foundation emerged with the mission of creating cohesion among all residents within the city. Our flagship event, The 4th of July Walk & Roll Parade and Festival joins our city in a day of celebration. Throughout the year, we host additional community events including our Halloween Parade and Trunk & Treat, Public Servant Thank You Card Drives and the annual Mayor's Golf Tournament.
