Description

Safe Harbor strives to provide hope & healing for children that have suffered trauma at a very young age by supporting the foster adoptive families that are caring for them. Our commitment is to provide "whatever it takes" to keep a child from experiencing the additional trauma of disruption and placement change.

Our Creating Community Program come around foster/adoptive families to bring and coordinate services, support, and encouragement, vital to maintain placement stability. Through our Respite Date Night we have successfully matched several foster adoptive families with a secondary support family that help provide childcare and other supportive services.

TBRI Barn Program: Using the evidenced-based therapeutic approach of TBRI(r) (Trust Based Relational Interventions), Safe Harbor facilitates TBRI(r) camps that provide parents with children from hard places a refuge to come and have fun, allowing for connection and attachment to occur.

Intensive Services Program: Safe Harbor is creating a Network of Specialist to be accessed when additional services not provided through the County are required to assist in the stabilization of behaviors that are threatening placement stability. We are looking for Trauma Informed Specialist in all areas.
