We are a specialized long-term care facility that enhances the quality of life and maintains the dignity of persons with specialized intellectual developmental disorders and specialized dementia whose needs exceed the resources available in the community by providing respectful, individualized, compassionate and quality care.

Description

Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (BMNTC) is a specialized long-term care facility that enhances the quality of life and maintains the dignity of persons with specialized intellectual developmental disorders and/or specialized dementia or other neurocognitive disorders whose needs exceed the resources available in the community. BMNTC staff members have expertise in providing respectful, individualized, compassionate and quality care for persons with neurocognitive and neurodevelopmental disorders. Our interdisciplinary approach provides person centered planning with a pointed emphasis on quality of life activities.

BMNTC is administered by the NC Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities within the Department of Health and Human Services. BMNTC is located in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina situated on 40 acres in Black Mountain, North Carolina about 16 miles east of Asheville.
