KIDA was founded in 2012 to address entrenched poverty in the communities of Uganda like Katosi, a landing site on Lake Victoria with 17 villages which were hard-hit by HIV/AIDS pandemic and contained numerous orphans who were victims of child labor.
since its founding, and with a team of community-minded professionals and volunteers, we have worked have worked tirelessly to create equal opportunities for all through early education support, where 400+ children were enrolled to our school project, vocational training with 25 young mothers trained and empowered to start businesses, empowering community groups through skills training, savings and crediting that has transformed financial status for over 100 families.
To date, KIDA continues to seek ways to extend the impact to other communities in need, and thus require a community of volunteers to join hands.
