Mission Statement
The Charlottesville Waldorf School offers a curriculum rich in academic, artistic, practical, and physical activities in an inclusive and diverse environment. Our educational philosophy, based on Rudolf Steiner’s understanding of child development, cultivates the imagination, intellectual curiosity and social responsibility of our students.
Description
Founded in 1982, the Charlottesville Waldorf School is an accredited independent school serving students Age 2 through 8th grade. What sets a Waldorf school apart is not what's taught but how it's taught. True learning is a process of discovery that engages the whole child. Instead of passively receiving information, CWS students are involved in a dynamic process of exploration. Located on a picturesque 13-acres in Charlottesville, VA near Pen Park. We have programs for children as young as 18 months (Parent-Child) all the way up to eighth grade.
