Mission Statement

The mission of the Beach Community Thrift Store in Indian Rocks Beach, FL is to • provide the community with a source of quality goods at low cost • provide an outlet to the community to reuse and recycle items they no longer need • provide income to Church of the Isles (COTI). This income helps to serve the churches missions including fighting human trafficking, feeding the homeless at Pinellas Hope and providing love and leadership to the girls from Miracles Outreach.

Description

The Beach Community Thrift Store is located 2 blocks off of Gulf Blvd in Indian Rocks Beach. We are an all-volunteer run store currently open 4 shifts per week. Each shift is approximately 4 hours long. Our volunteers are made up of church and community members. We have need of about 16-20 volunteers in all to staff our store. Most of our volunteers work one to two shifts per week. Our schedules are flexible.
Working at the Beach Community Thrift Store is fun - we enjoy each other's company and we love our customers - they are wonderful!
Volunteers perform a number of duties, sorting donations, pricing and displaying merchandise, checking out customers and running the cash register.
We set a high standard for our resale items and we take pride in our store. We work to keep it clean and tidy.
We are open Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday from 10-2 and on Thursday evenings from 5-8pm. In addition to volunteering during store hours, we are looking for volunteers that can assist with our social media and marketing.
