Mission Statement

EMO Haïti is a movement with the mission to create, distribute and promote technology solutions for effective teaching and school management while increasing access to computer programming education for K12 students.

Description

EMO-HAITI officially started in February 2017 out of a deeply rooted desire to give back to Haiti in the most impactful way possible: help prepare the young generation for a technology-driven future. We are a volunteer-led organization (so far) comprised of young professionals committing their time, personal resources and skills to bridge the technology gap in local schools and work towards a stronger and more equitable education system in Haiti. We focus our objectives on

  • long-term impact
  • Bringing talents together in the most effective way
  • Striving to ensure a technology-driven and quality education is available to the young generation
Among other projects, we have built the school management platform called BRAVO, which was officially launched this past July 2018 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Our goal is to expand the use of this platform to all communities in Haiti regardless of their conditions.We are also the host of the first annual EdTech Summit in Haiti, gathering various actors in Education and Technology to foster learning, collaboration and inspiration. Other projects that we are working on include: a computer lab system, EMO index ect..

As we are continuing this journey to bridge the technology gap in Haiti, we welcome other ambitious volunteers like you Come aboard.
