Mission Statement
Bringing people together in an effort to eliminate health disparities and inequities through advocacy, awareness, education, leadership, and cultural responsive services. To this end, Health Education Advocacy Leadership (HEAL), Inc. implements programs to address pressing public health needs, fosters private sector support for health promoting activities, access to healthcare, and assist communities build the capacity to empower, promote health, and research translation that leads to action that addresses and advocates for the need of the population.
Description
In collaboration and partnership with HEAL Medical Group, HEAL, Inc. provides
a wide range of community services and health care. Our services include:
providing basic life support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and
first aid training and certification, on the job training for medical assistants, stroke
awareness, education, training, and screening, community health worker training
program, diabetes education, prevention, and screening program, mentoring, and
coaching program, healthcare career awareness, education, and training program,
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program for youths 6th
through 12 grades, and college and financial aid outreach information, education,
and preparation program, and mental health awareness, education, training, and
advocacy programs. In addition, through our collaborative partnership, Heal Inc.
provides low cost or free primary and preventive health care services to the
community at large.
Through volunteering, donations, community partnerships and fundraising, Heal Inc.
is able to provide health resources and services towards improving health and overall well being.
