Mission Statement

The Mission of Make Music St. Louis is to foster and develop public appreciation, understanding, and love of the Musical Arts; to unite people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds through listening, creating music together, and sharing the experience of live performance; to inspire, encourage, and educate musicians of all skill levels by creating learning opportunities and music performance events; and to develop and cultivate stronger ties between local businesses and their respective communities through artistic collaboration leading to their growing and continued support of the local arts.

Description

Make Music St. Louis, Inc. is a growing non-profit organization based in St. Louis that brings a variety of music events and outreach projects to the greater St. Louis area. Our major annual project is Make Music Day STL festival that takes place on June 21st as part of the worldwide Make Music Day celebration. Through our work, we connect musicians, bands, and music groups with their audiences by developing ties between business and arts communities, as well cultivate support for the arts by involving local municipalities and corporate sponsors. We work closely with participating musicians, members of business communities who provide performance venue spaces for Make Music Day STL, local municipal authorities, media outlets, potential corporate sponsors, and reach out to the general public.
