MPOWRD meetings are a result of teens collectively addressing the issues of today through a program that was developed over a five-year period. It is inclusive of understanding that each person was born to be empowered with personal strengths that need to be honored and protected. Teens discuss addictive behaviors and define them as "any habit that causes personal harm". They are educated in the 12 steps for healing and integrate them into various challenges that are part of their world inclusive of: anger, co-dependency, abuse, relationships and others. Today over 150,000 times a teen has chosen to attend a meeting for support which are currently in six states.
This program is backed by evidence-based research along with exploratory studies and logic models produced within universities.
We have arrived at a new opportunity, where we can take the training that we offer schools and youth support agencies and translate it to an online program with certification opportunities.
This is the first and only program of its kind and it is in place to servie the world.
