Mission Statement

Number Five Philanthropy is a non-profit organization, dedicated to introducing the games of volleyball, golf, tennis, equestrian and lacrosse and its inherent values to girls of color in underserved communities. Our mission is to give underprivileged girls the opportunity to enjoy the mental and physical benefits of youth sports participation. We do this through the donation of used and excess sporting equipment to programs and schools serving low-income communities, and by helping young athletes get sponsorships from regional and national brands. We are building an Adtech platform that makes sponsoring youth as easy as creating a Facebook ad campaign.

Description

Our donations allow programs to allocate funds saved by lowering registration fees, expanding their scholarship programs, enhancing their existing athletic program and/or developing new ones. Sponsoring youth is an extremely effective form of marketing and fundraising.

However, this type of grassroots marketing is difficult to scale because working with volunteers on a case-by-case basis is time-consuming and expensive. Enter Number Five Philanthropy! We are building a network of sports clubs and helping companies sponsor youth.

We're not only helping regional and national brands achieve their marketing goals, but we're also enabling more kids to play sports. The cost of youth sports is rising exponentially and every sponsorship dollar we bring in helps to lower the cost of equipment, registration fees, and travel for families.
