Mission Statement

EDUCATION The Village of Hope School has grown from 60 children and 1 building into a campus of 8 buildings that house seventeen classrooms pre-K through secondary, with 70 teachers and staff serving approximately 650 students. NUTRITION The school, which offers quality, Christian education includes a mid-day meal to all its students. For some of the kids, this is the only meal they're able to partake for the whole day. MEDICAL The lack of affordable, available health care in the Ganthier area motivated the development and building of the Village of Hope Health Center in March 2012. The medical professionals and staff serve the student body, their families and the 70,000 community members. Primary health care services include laboratory testing and pharmaceutical services, all provided by Haitian medical professionals.

Description

The Village of Hope Haiti is a Christian fund raising organization committed to supporting programs and ministries that promote excellence in education, spiritual growth and primary health care of Haitians in need in the Ganthier community. We believe the value of education, the impact of primary health care and the power of spiritual growth will result in the empowerment of Haitians.

Village of Hope is a wonderful cause that has a direct impact on students in Haiti - the poorest nation in the western hemisphere. Volunteering here is easy. There are so many meaningful things that I was able to do virtually. A few times I got really fired up and joined a team to go to Haiti and get our "hands dirty." A life changing experience!!
