Mission Statement
The mission of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame is to preserve and promote the history of Thoroughbred racing in America and honor the sport’s most accomplished participants in the Official National Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame.
Description
The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame was founded in 1950 by a group of prominent Thoroughbred owners and racing enthusiasts. The Museum is a private non-profit which serves to foster education and understanding of Thoroughbred racing by providing public access to equine art, artifacts, memorabilia, film, video, books and historical archives. The Museum collects, preserves, researches, interprets and exhibits the entire spectrum of Thoroughbred racing, enhanced by interactive displays. Further, the Museum if the Official National Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame honoring Horses, Trainers, Jockeys and Pillars of the Turf.
