Mission Statement

The Latino Public Radio Consortium [LPRC] was founded in 2007 with the goal of advancing the agenda of Latinos in public radio. Our Mission is to advocate for the inclusion of Latinos in public broadcasting by building partnerships, influencing public and funding policy and providing a clearinghouse of information on relevant and substantive cultural, news and informational Latino programming. Our vision is for a public media system that includes Latino voices, services and perspectives at every level of programming, production, distribution, leadership and management, and that includes and supports a strong Latino-controlled public media.

Description

LPRC Services 50+ Latino owned and operated public media stations as they work to strengthen their community. LPRC Station Memberss represent rural, urban, state, university & community Latino public radio stations nationwide who are passionately serving local Latino communities. We work to fortify thesse stations in five key areas: Development, Compliance, Governance, Programming & Engagement. LPRC Services Member Stations through our Station Meetups, our Más Summit Conference, daily through our Help Desk via phone calls and email requests, as well as our featured InfoBlasts & Newsletters.
