LifeServe has a variety of volunteer opportunities that are not on a regular basis. These projects could last one day, weeks or months. The tasks involved could consist of scanning, labeling, stuffing, sorting, organizing, cleaning, folding tee shirts, etc. We are looking for volunteers that would be willing to be on call for such activities. These volunteer opportunities would be completed during the regular workday hours of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm and would be handled at the Johnston Donor Center. We are looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented person to thoroughly clean the inside of our delivery vehicles. This would be a 2-hour minimum per week commitment on Sundays. The project would involve wiping down the dashboard and console, cleaning the windshields, vacuuming the carpets and the upholstery. Cleaning kit and shop vac are provided on site. Volunteer will need to drive the vehicles so a complete background and motor vehicle check will need to be done.

We are looking for local volunteers who are willing to transport blood products and supplies to our donor centers and area local hospitals. We have a wide variety of trips, ranging from 45 minutes to 3 hours or more. We provide the vehicle and gas card to fill-up after each trip. We utilize an online scheduling system which allows you to manage your own schedule. The schedule of trips can begin as early as 5:15 am and can end as late as 11:00 pm, 7 days a week. This is a crucial part of our organization success, so if you are personable, dependable and like to give back to your community please come help us save lives!

This would be driving about a 30-mile loop through town, using a LifeServe vehicle to fill orders for the hospitals. You would receive an orientation and three training trips. We utilize an online scheduling system which allows you to manage your own schedule and you are not required to complete a specific number of shifts per week. You sign up based on your availability. This is a crucial part of our organization success, so if you are personable, dependable and like to give back to your community please come help us save lives!
