Excited by the opportunity to help inspire and motivate the worlds aspiring young Creatives? We connect skilled volunteers to underserved children and younv adukts to help increase their self-esteem. We are recruiting members to serve a one to two year team begining January 2025. Our Mission At Creative Emajnations every child will have the opportunity to explore their imagination without limitations that will enable them to reach their full potential through the Arts. Creative Emajinaions believes first hand that children are more encouraged by rewards and recognition we use this method through out our mentoring services to help and motivate youth through out their academic years. Creative Emajinations partners with local businesses as a direct service to help provide our services to youth we partner and share space with other non-profits. Performance opportunities are provide by supporters and other organizations. Member responsibilities We are looking for bold, entrepreneurial, and experience in the Industries who is ready for a challenge and excited by the opportunity to help young aspiring artist, singers, musicians and dancers helping to promote leadership skills and opportunities. Creative Emajinations is a non-profit organization incorporated in the State of MO and exempt under the United States Internal Revenue Service. Board members are not required to be located in the Missouri area. Meetings can be attended in person monthly/bi-monthly or via video conference call. Board term Board Members are invited to serve a (2) year term and may be eligible for reappointment beginning the month of January preceedong thier term. Meet quarterly virtually or in person Compensation This position will pose an impact on your community, which is a volunteer in nature and non-compensated. Fundraising Creative Emajinations expects to have 100% of Board Members make a financial annual/monthly contribution TBD, and help to make Creative Emajinations a top philanthropic priority. In addition to the standard duties and characteristics, all Board Members should: Be excited to join team CE Be open minded, have a growth mindset, open to testing new approaches and failure, open to considering diverse viewpoints and, unusual strategies. Be driven to help underserved youth access Arts opportunities. Be honest, transparent and have extremely high integrity. Creative Emajinations invites you to join our team of dedicated volunteers for the upcoming annual "Heroes for the Arts" charity fundraiser taking place November 2025 at The Nelson Atkins Museum of Art 4525 Oak Street KCMO 64111. Our fundraiser aims to support our Dream Capital Campaign, which focuses on acquiring two key properties and enhancing our arts education programs. Your participation will help us continue providing accessible arts education, mentorship, and opportunities to underserved children in Kansas City. What to Expect: Enjoy a delightful evening with fellow supporters Learn more about our mission and how you can make a difference Be part of our efforts to secure and enhance our facilities Time 5:30 PM CST (Total volunteer hours 3 to 4) Roles and How You Can Help: Event Planning Committee: Assist in the overall planning and organization of the gala in November 2025. Help with coordinating logistics. Marketing and Promotion Team: Utilize your creative skills to spread the word about the gala. Manage social media campaigns, design promotional materials, and reach out to potential sponsors. Sponsorship and Fundraising Team: Connect with businesses and potential sponsors to secure contributions and sponsorships for the gala. Assist in fundraising efforts and donor outreach. Volunteer Coordination: Manage and coordinate volunteers on the day of the gala. Ensure all necessary roles are filled and that everyone is well-informed about their responsibilities. Silent Auction and Raffle Management: Help with the exciting items for the silent auction and raffle. Organize and display items during the gala and assist with bidding processes. Entertainment and Program Planning: Assist in arranging the captivating entertainment for the gala. Coordinate with performers, speakers, and other special guests. Decorations and Setup Crew: Use your creativity to decorate the gala venue and create an inviting atmosphere. Assist with setup and tear-down on the day of the event. Registration and Guest Services: Welcome guests at the event, handle registration, and provide assistance throughout the evening. Project Overview: Assist with setting up filming locations, handling equipment, and managing scenes. (No experience required, just a willingness to learn!) Camera Operator / Videographer We need a videographer to film the scenes and capture dynamic shots that enhance the story’s emotional impact. Camera experience preferred but not required. Creative Emajinations is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our "Sack it for Santa" and "Gift a Toy" events, both happening on the same day. Volunteers will assist in 2-3 hour shifts, helping parents and children select gifts and engaging with teens in our holiday festivities. Volunteer Roles: 1. Gift Guide Volunteers Help guide parents in selecting gifts for their children (ages 7 to 18) and assist children in choosing toys from our "Gift a Toy" tables. Responsibilities: Provide a friendly, organized, and fun environment for families and ensure smooth flow around gift selection areas. 2. Sack it for Santa Volunteers Role: Support the "Sack it for Santa" event for teens ages 12-18. Responsibilities: Assist in connecting teens with resource vendors, encouraging peer interaction, and distributing red sacks to attendees. Shift Times: Volunteers can select from 2-3 hour shifts, with flexibility to choose the time that best fits their schedule. Why Volunteer?
