As a non-profit, all volunteer shop, Attic Treasure’s goal is help improve the lives of families and individuals within our community by offering monetary donations and quality gently used clothing, furniture, home décor, books, toys, and house-wares at extremely low prices.
Description
Attic Treasures of Harlem, sells donated items at its West Milledgeville Road location to raise funds for local charities. Through the years Attic Treasures, which is celebrating its ninth year this fall, has raised more than $500,000 for other local charitable organizations.Some of the charities that the store supports include Relay for Life; Fisher House at Fort Gordon and Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center; Lydia House; Good Samaritan House, H3, Concerned Women in Grovetown and Wounded Warrior Project. Attic Treasures also gives four scholarships of $1,000 each annually to a senior from Harlem, Grovetown and Thomson high schools as well as a home-schooled student to further their educations. At Christmastime, the organization purchases new toys and clothing for 100-150 children. It also supports individuals who have fallen on hard times, sports organizations, Harlem Arts Council and Columbia County Animal Shelter. "We give the Animal shelter pillows and blankets that can’t be sold. We hold a free rabies clinic in the spring and a free microchipping clinic in the fall. The store is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday , Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.
