Mission Statement
The Mission of the Center for Ecological Living and Learning (CELL) is to inspire our next generation of sustainability leaders.
Description
Our education programs teach youth (and others) how to work in community to achieve a socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable future. At the completion of a CELL program, participants develop leadership action plans that empower them to employ what they have learned in their own lives and within their schools and communities. Empowering sustainability through communityis our passion. We are currently initiating a four-year climate education program Our Oceans Our Lives: Climate Action Nowin twelve states from Maine to Florida. A key component of this program is an innovative Climate Olympians for Ocean Leadership (COOL School) initiative that will empower youth climate action in schools and local communities. We are looking for a volunteer to join our team who has a passion for our work and Our Oceans Our Lives: Climate Action Nowprogram, fundraising skills to help us realize our mission, and a desire to help empower the next generation of climate and oceans change makers.
