Mission Statement

The Will County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition (WCSAPC) works with Will County communities to ensure a brighter future be eliminating youth substance and alcohol use and provides opportunities that will promote a healthy and quality life for all.

Description

WCSAPC provides opportunities for youth, adults and community agencies to come together to provide educational, awareness and community engagement activities in the effort to reduce the use of alcohol and drugs by youth. We focus on alcohol, tobacco, marijuana and medication prevention efforts under a 5-year grant from ONDCP's Drug-Free Communities and SAMHSA.

If this is your area of interest, why don't you join us?! WCSAPC meets the 4th Tuesday of every month at the Will County Sheriff's Office, 16911 W. Laraway Road in Joliet. The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) meets the first Wednesday of every month at Chestnut, 829 Campus Drive in Joliet. Youth in grades 6-12 are welcome. Parents meet at the same time in their own group. Stay tuned for YAC satellites popping up around Joliet and Will County! As community-based projects become available, we can always use volunteers to make a difference!
