Mission Statement

Ending mass detention and deportation of immigrants and asylum seekers in the United States by creating critical communication and data infrastructure to allow communities to help them fight their cases.

Description

Streetwide creates communication and data infrastructure to connect immigrants held in
detention and deportation proceedings with the organizations and community-members who
can help them. The organization’s Rapid Response software provides grassroot organizations
the ability to power 24-hour call centers to respond to mass raids in their local communities and
send legal observers. Streetwide also developed Detention Lifeline, a first of its kind national
call center and CRM dedicated to immigrants and asylum seekers currently imprisoned in
detention facilities. Detention Lifeline is a new project that aims to create a community hotline in EVERY immigrant detention center around the country. Detention Lifeline creates a way for those detained to get in contact with a national network of volunteers and community members who can fight with them.
