The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Desert Lakes Flotilla 10-11 in the east Phoenix area needs you. We need people with an interest in maritime activities OR who are boat owners to join the uniformed civilian service of the U.S. Coast Guard. All ages (17 and over), talents, and abilities are welcome. The Desert Lakes flotilla serves both Saguaro and Canyon Lakes. Receive certifications as a coast guard boat crew member or coxswain, radio operator, aviation crew, vessel inspections, maritime environmental protection certifications as well as teach boating, water safety and water pollution prevention through educational public affairs events.
