Mission Statement

As mandated by the Older Americans Act, the mission of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program is to seek resolution of problems and advocate for the rights of residents. We work to resolve problems of individuals residents with the goal of enhancing the quality of life and care of residents and to bring about changes at the local, state and national levels.

Description

The Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program provides residents with key services at no cost: confidential advocacy, complaint investigation (including elder abuse and neglect), resident rights education, witness services for Advance health Care Directives and other individualized services to California residents living in long-term care facilities.
