Mission Statement

The mission of Pacific Hospice, Inc. is to provide physical, emotional, social and spiritual support to terminally ill patients, as well as their families and loved ones, while enabling patients and families to live with dignity and comfort as they cope with end of life issues.

Description

As a volunteer, you will be visiting patients and their families in their homes. You'll also have the opportunity to use your unique set of skills to bring comfort and emotional support to hospice patients. We're looking for individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of the terminally ill and their families. The best volunteers have the desire to serve others, patience, and great personal skills. Instead of considering volunteering as something you do for people who are not as fortunate as yourself, begin to think of it as an exchange. Once you're on the volunteer job, you will continue to serve as long as you feel that your efforts are accomplishing something, that your talents are appreciated, and that you make a difference. And if you also like the people with whom you work, so much the better!
