Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
Francis House is an interfaith center dedicated to developing the potential of the mind, body and spirit of HIV infected and affected men, women and children. Free services include a day care and after school program and a multitude of support groups providing education, counseling, guidance, and recreational activities for teens and adults. Francis House is one of the few comprehensive programs of its kind in the State of Florida serving the needs of the most disadvantaged in need of a non-judgmental, supportive environment. Francis House is committed to serve with compassion and dignity while striving to enlighten lives with positive change.
Founded in 1989 and incorporated in January 1990, Francis House has been serving the needs of HIV infected and affected men, women and children for 10 years. As a day respite center, we offer a comprehensive day care and after school program, teen group, and 13 manifold programs for adults including recreational activities and art therapy. Transportation and nutritious meals are provided and all services are free of charge. The majority of our clients live at or below poverty level. We strive to teach them that HIV is not the only "positive" thing in their lives.
