Work closely with the fundraising and finance teams to ensure alignment of grant proposals with organizational needs and budgets. Maintain a calendar of submissions and other deadlines, ensuring timely applications and follow-ups. Develop and maintain relationships with foundations and other grant-awarding entities. Track and report on the status of grant applications. Assist with the preparation of reports and compliance documents for funding organizations. Qualifications: Proven experience in grant writing, preferably in the nonprofit sector. Excellent writing, editing, and research skills. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Knowledge of the animal welfare/rescue sector is highly desirable. Summary: The Transporter transports kittens for The Bitty Kitty Brigade (BKB) for intake or medical appointments and delivers urgent medication and supplies as needed. Position Supervised by: Transportation Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities: Picks up kittens from animal control or other designated locations and transports them to a vet clinic, a Foster Caregiver or other specific location as instructed by the Transportation Coordinator. Complies with BKB Kitten Transport Guidelines Maintains emergency supplies in the vehicle to support safe transport of young kittens. Transports prescription food/medical supplies/medication from vet clinic or supply location to a designated location as instructed by the Transportation Coordinator. Transports foster kittens to/from vet appointments. Knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to perform essential job duties : Valid driver’s license, car insurance and a reliable transport vehicle. Ability to respond quickly to a transport request. Basic knowledge of kitten care to ensure the safety of kittens in transit. Organization skills to maintain supplies and restock as needed. Work Environment and Time Commitment : The Transporter is a 1-4 hour per week position depending on the volume of intake and other delivery needs. May be asked to work with very short notice. Tasks involve the ability to exert moderate but not constant physical effort, typically involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting, carrying objects and kittens of moderate weight.
