The Biddy Mason Charitable Foundation provides quality services and support to current and former foster youth through innovative programs and collaborative initiatives with community partners.

Description

The Biddy Mason Charitable Foundation began in 2013 hosting Thanksgiving Dinner on Thanksgiving Day for current and former foster youth. That event has become a traditional for the foundation. The dinner was a great success and it inspired the foundation to consider other events that could serve the needs of current and former foster youth.
The foundation is a collaboration of community and church volunteers who want to help change the outcomes for foster youth in Los Angeles County.
Currently, in addition to the annual Thanksgiving Dinner, the Biddy Mason Charitable Foundation hosts the annual Resource Fair for current and former foster youth. This event is designed to bring resources for foster youth together in one location to make it convenient for foster youth to take advantage of the resources available to them.
The foundation also provides academic as well as vocational scholarships to foster youth.
