The beautiful country of Nicaragua - with its awe-inspiring volcanoes, lakes, and pristine beaches - is also burdened with extreme poverty, food insecurity and a weak educational system. Fabretto Children’s Foundation envisions a prosperous Nicaragua where all children have meaningful opportunities to grow and learn. Inspired by the legacy of Padre Fabretto, the organization’s mission is to empower underserved children and their families in Nicaragua to reach their full potential, improve their livelihoods, and take advantage of economic opportunity through education and nutrition. This mission is achieved through five strategic program areas: early and primary education enrichment, rural secondary education, vocational and life skills education, community well-being and development, and food security and nutrition.The majority of the budget is raised in the US through foundation, corporate, US government and individual sources. To ensure Fabretto’s ongoing impact, the organization must sustain as well expand and increase its funding sources.
