Mission Statement

The mission of the Five Fifty Fifty Run/Walk Series is to make the world a better place for those suffering from mental illness. The funds raised from this will be used by the AB Korkor Foundation to increase awareness, address the shortage of affordable care, emphasize the importance of wellness in mental health, fund research, and focus on under-served groups such as veterans, minorities and those suffering from addiction.

The Five Fifty Fifty Run/Walk Series was developed by Adel B. Korkor, M.D. as a way to address the epidemic of mental health problems. His idea of running a 5k race in all 50 states in 50 days is a way to create a movement that will spread from one coast to the other, one state at a time.

This 3rd annual movement will kick off on April 26, 2020 in Honolulu, Hawaii and finish in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 14. For a full list of the cities and dates with information on each event visit www.fivefiftyfifty.com
