Mission Statement

Character is the aggregate of features and traits that form the individual nature of a person; their moral or ethical quality. Character Camp was developed as a call to action to address the influence of poverty, crime, and negative stereotypes which affect developing youth and their character as adults. Our campers hail from all socio-economic backgrounds, races, and cultures.

Description

Character Camp is native to Houston, and a nationally acclaimed premier youth organization. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and cater to the emotional and academic needs of kids, those necessary for lifelong success. Your partnership makes a positive impact on the Houston community and helps our organization work towards the goal of Building Better Kids. Along with academic tutoring, Character Camp offers mentorships and innovative S.T.E.M. programs in Robotics and Aviation. Each year, our Leadership Retreat is an opportunity for us to enrich our campers with character education, tutoring, arts & sciences and a wholesome experience in the company of their peers.

We're looking for volunteers to establish new friendships with the organization and our supporters. It's going to be the beginning of something fun!
