Mission Statement
We need energetic people to share their talents at our Memory Cafes. We would be happy to have musicians share their music and a bit of their history, or lead a sing-a-long style event. We would enjoy someone familiar with gentle exercise come to teach us some ways to stay active. We would love to have a storyteller or magician preform for us. We would enjoy having well trained, well behaved animals join us for education or play.
Description
Memory Cafes are held on every third Monday of the month at 10:30 until noon at the Whitewater Public Library (please note this is NOT the UWW Library.) Memory Cafes are a social event for people with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and early stage dementia, and their care partners. They are designed to be a fun, engaging, and relaxed event. They are not heavily scripted, and one of the goals is to encourage discussion and participation.
