Mission Statement
SEAC, Inc. was established to provide innovative educational, mentoring, and other enrichment programs for the communities surrounding Seaton Memorial A.M.E. church, and, as appropriate, throughout Prince Georges County and the State of Maryland. SEAC, Inc.’s goal is to provide programs and support activities to improve the quality of life for children, youth, adults, seniors, and families.
Description
Established in 2007, SEAC, Inc. is a non-profit, charitable organization that provides innovative educational, mentoring, and enrichment programs for children in Prince George’s County community.
SEAC, Inc. is a grass-roots organization that was established by the Seaton Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Church, located in Lanham, Maryland. Our name, Seaton Empowering Action in the Community, exemplifies the organization mission of service to the community through a philanthropic structure.
Recognizing the strength of partnerships, SEAC, Inc. maximizes its resources by partnering with schools, civic associations, and other non-profit organization in conducting its programs, and tailors them to best meet the needs of the young people its serve.
For example, SEAC,Inc. has partnered with a local civic association and a national fraternity to provide food baskets to needy families at Thanksgiving and Easter, and is currently partnering with a Parent, Teachers and Student Association of a local middle school on a math enrichment program.
