Mission Statement

The mission of the Starts Within Organization is to decrease the recidivism rate by targeting incarcerated individuals and providing education and mentoring making the transition from offender to ex offender a success.

Description

The Starts Within Organization was founded in 2011 and we are designed to go inside of prisons to implement effective programming to help with the transition of those are due to be released from incarceration a successful transition. We have been able to graduate 4 year long programs and we currently have one year long program that has 21 participants in the class. We are focused on ensuring that the people are prepared before they release so that they can become assets to their community.
