Mission Statement

We are a community-driven support and outreach organization which provides social resources and engagement to economically disadvantaged individuals living in New York City. We hope to help individuals gain access to resources that will improve overall their well-being.

Description

SNACC is a volunteer-driven program that responds to the consequences and risks associated with financial hardship by providing accessible nutritional programming to youth in NYC. Our programming uses education and relationship-building to promote healthy living and community connection.

SNACC by Faces in Between is a hands-on food education program that addresses food insecurity by focusing on cooking skills, wellness, and community connections for youth. Our students live in the South Bronx, one of the most underserved and hardest-hit communities by COVID-19 in the United States. Each week, our students participate in a weekly virtual cooking session. Students get the weekly ingredients sent directly to their homes and have the opportunity to prepare four portions of nutritious food to enjoy with their families!
