Backpack Food Program Driver

On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings we deliver bags of food to area schools for weekend meals for free or reduced lunch recipients. Its a fun and rewarding job. Perfect for retired individuals, or anyone that has morning availability on one of those days. We are looking for regular drivers to deliver to area schools using their own vehicle You can choose the school you deliver to based on which day you are available. You can choose one school or several schools. The pick up and delivery of bags takes about 1 hour, and often, the schools will assist in unloading, especially those that have a higher number of bags. If you are interested, we will email you the sign up so you can see the options.

Food Pickup Driver

Thankfully we have awesome grocery stores who support our efforts at the food bank. All we have to provide is drivers to pick up the food and deliver it to the food bank. Its a fun and rewarding job, perfect for retired individuals, or anyone who has their mornings free and can comfortably drive a cargo van. Drivers need to be over 21, be able to lift 40 pounds, have a clean driving record, license, and insurance. The driving shifts are mondays, tuesdays, and thursdays, from 8:30am-11:30am. We need back up drivers and regular drivers. These drivers will also have opportunities to drive on other days and times to help pickup donations from schools and businesses. We will train you!

Food Bank Heavy Lifter

We have deliveries on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday that come with pallets of food that need to be put away. Volunteers to unload the trucks of food - Must be able to lift over 30 pounds repeatedly and stand the whole shift. The unload is Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00-Noon. Food Handlers permit a plus, not required, we will pay for them to get the card Thank you for helping us during this covid crisis.

Food Bank Tear-Down Team Member

Volunteers to tear down after service nights. Mondays and Thursdays 6:30-7:30pm, Fast paced, must be able to lift 30 pounds repeatedly, must be on their feet the whole time and able to work in any weather condition. We operate outside rain or shine.
