Description

The Bhutanese Community of Cincinnati (BCC) was founded on September 23rd, 2012 and formally established on March 4th, 2013 by some dedicated community members. The BCC is a non-profit, charitable organization representing the Bhutanese resettled in Cincinnati and nearby cities since 2008. We are a multi-cultural, multi-religious, multi-lingual and an inclusive organization. Our mission is to improve the lifestyle of newly resettled Bhutanese refugees by helping them obtain employment opportunities, providing orientation about housing, help navigate health and education system, and receive the governmental assistance during their transitional period. In addition, we help apply for the Green Card, citizenship, Food stamps, Medicaid and SSI. We focus on the integration of Bhutanese people into the American community while preserving our distinctly rich diverse arts, culture, traditions, languages, and literature.
