Mission Statement
Our mission is to help ensure the healthy and security of endangered Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
Description
Since 2005, the Greater Chicago Cavalier Rescue has helped save, nurture and re-home hundreds of dogs. And with the growing popularity of this breed, there’s an ever-growing need for organizations like us, to help with the increasing number of dogs discarded by unscrupulous breeders and commercial kennels.
Together with animal control organizations, shelters, humane societies and other rescue organizations-as well as Cavalier owners-we provide significant financial, physical, and emotional support to Cavaliers and families in need. But we can only continue to do this with the help of our generous donors and volunteers.
Whether we’re transporting or fostering newly rescued dogs in preparation for their forever homes, educating prospective owners or shelter administrators on caring for the unique needs of Cavaliers, or rehabilitating sick, abused or abandoned dogs-we’re here to help in any and every way we can.
Our commitment to these dogs runs very deep, and our mission is simple-to help ensure the health and security of abused, abandoned, and otherwise endangered Cavalier King Charles Spaniels:
- by rehabilitating and placing Cavaliers from shelters and similar situations,
- by assisting breeders and owners in finding new homes for their Cavaliers, and
- by providing assistance to Cavalier owners who can no longer care for their Cavaliers.
