Healthix facilitates the coordination of care and secure exchange of patient information among disparate providers to improve clinical outcomes, promote efficiency and reduce healthcare costs, while operating as a Qualified Entity of the State Health Information Network of New York (SHIN-NY).

Description

Healthix is not-for-profit health information exchange regulated and funded by the New York State Department of Health. We integrate data from a broad community of diverse healthcare organizations and health plans. We also connect to private HIEs that provide patient data from across complex systems. The result: we deliver New York’s most complete patient data at the point of care.

As the largest public health information exchange (HIE) in the nation, Healthix delivers data of over 17 million individuals. These records which are updated with every encounter - from the largest hospital systems to the smallest community health centers and physician practices across New York City and Long Island.

With patient consent, we deliver actionable patient information, in real time, at the point of care. By using Healthix, clinicians and care coordinators from hundreds of different organizations can easily and securely collaborate on patient care using our tools and services.
